HOW TO DO AN ON LINE MAKE UP
1.
Read a variety of current articles in our Programs section and/or choose articles from our Archived Programs list and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. You will be required to answer questions. There is space on the makeup request form for up to three articles to be reviewed, however you will need to read more than three to meet your 30 minute visit obligation.
2.
At the end of your 30 minute visit click on Make-up Request Form from the drop-down menu at top of page OR the bottom of each make-up program.
3.
Read Makeup Request Form carefully, and follow instructions. A Make-Up Form will appear once you press the SUBMIT button (one time only) and an email copy will be sent to the email address you provided.
PRINT YOUR MAKE-UP FORM
Once your make-up appears, if you know the email address, you can also click on File, Send and email a copy to your club secretary.
From eClub One Webmaster...
It is a mandatory requirement that Rotarians spend at least 30 minutes on the Rotary eClub One website to qualify for a make-up credit. Please use your 30 minute visit to review a variety of articles from our Programs section and/or information from our Avenues of Service pages. ROTARY CLUB OF SANTA FE
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
Each member must attend at least 30 percent of this club’s regular meetings in each half of the year, and must attend, in each half of the year, at least an additional 20 percent of this club’s regular meetings, or make up for those meetings as described below. If a member fails to attend as required, the member’s membership shall be subject to termination unless the board consents to such non-attendance for good cause.
Within fourteen (14) days before or after the regular time for a meeting of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe, the member may obtain make-up credit for missing that meeting by either:
(1) attending at least 60 percent of the regular meeting of another club or of a provisional club; or
(2) attending a regular meeting of a Rotaract or Interact Club or Rotary Community Corps, or of a provisional Rotaract or Interact Club or Rotary Community Corps; or
(3) attending a Convention of RI, a Rotary District Conference, a Rotary District Assembly, or any of numerous other approved RI or district meetings; or
(4) being present at the usual time and place of a regular meeting of another club for the purpose of attending such meeting, but that club is not meeting at that time or place; or
(5) attending and participating in a club service project or a club-sponsored community event or meeting authorized by the board; or
(6) attending a board meeting or, if authorized by the board, a meeting of a service committee to which the member is assigned.
When a member is outside the member’s country of residence for more than fourteen (14) days, the time restriction shall not be imposed so that the member may attend meetings in another country at any time during the travel period, and each such attendance shall count as a valid make-up for any regular meeting missed during the member’s time abroad.
If a member has questions about attendance, he or she should contact the club secretary. Complete information about attendance requirements is available in the Rotary International Manual of Procedure, RI document #035_en, which can be accessed via the RI web site, www.rotary.org.
“MAKINGUP” FOR SANTA FE ROTARIANS
Where to Make-Up — The club secretary has on hand the most recent issue of the Rotary International Official Directory, which lists the club name, and the regular meeting location, day and time for every Rotary club in the world. From this directory, a member can find a club somewhere that can serve his or her needs.
Even more easily, a member can visit web site:
http://www.rotary.org/en/AboutUs/SiteTools/ClubLocator/Pages/ridefault.asp which also indicates the regular meeting location, day and time for every Rotary club in the world. The web site is usually more up-to-date than the printed directory.
One may also make-up at various Rotary district, national, and world events, as indicated above.
Easiest of all, a member may do a make-up electronically via the internet! Rotarians may make-up missed meetings by visiting an Internet-based Rotary club. Go to http://www.recswusa.org/ to start the process.
How to Obtain Credit
for a Make-Up
First, attend an appropriate make-up meeting or event. At that meeting or event, obtain and fill out a Visiting Rotarian Attendance Report Card, and have the secretary of the club you are visiting sign and date the card. Then simply carry or mail the card to the secretary of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe (at P.O. Box 2465, Santa Fe, NM 87504-2465).
If you forget to obtain such a card, or lose it, the secretary of our club may, at his or her discretion, accept your verbal or written notice of your make-up attendance, provided your notice meets all of the parts of the Rotary Four-Way Test.
Making-Up at Other Santa Fe Clubs — There are three Rotary clubs in Santa Fe, NM, USA: Rotary Club of Santa Fe (ours), Rotary Club of Santa Fe Centro, and Rotary Club of Santa Fe del Sur.
Centro meets Tuesday, 7:00 am, at the Hotel Plaza Real;
Del Sur meets Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at the Santa Fe Country Club (off Airport Road, 2 miles west of the Cerrillos Road/Airport Road intersection.)
The secretaries of the three Santa Fe clubs have an arrangement whereby they exchange names of local visiting Rotarians each month. So ... all you have to do for credit for a make-up at any of these clubs is to sign in on their “Visiting Rotarian” sheets as you go into the meeting. No need to obtain an attendance report card ... just sign in!
Nota Bene — Most Rotary club secretaries cannot read Sanskrit or hieroglyphic writings. Hence, if your want your make-up to count, please print your name legibly on sign-in sheets and other make-up documents.
On Line Make-Ups
